UNITA Advanced Grant Awarded — BE-SAFE Next
The BE-SAFE Next proposal has been selected for funding under the UNITA Advanced Grants programme.
With the grant secured, the consortium’s next move is to launch this new version of the project. BE-SAFE Next will build on the first project’s achievements and turn its results into a real-world, AI-powered and V2X-enabled framework that helps cities anticipate and mitigate cyclist risk.
The project officially started with its kick-off meeting on 23 July 2026. The partners will now begin implementing the new roadmap, scaling the framework to additional institutions and municipalities across the UNITA Alliance.
