BE-SAFE

Cyclist Safety in Smart Cities — A UNITA Consortium Research Project

About the Project

BE-SAFE (BicyclE SAFEty for Mobility and Active Riding in Smart Cities) is a collaborative research project funded by the UNITA Starting Grant programme within the UNITA European University Alliance.

The project brings together four universities and their municipal partners to develop tools, methods, and policy recommendations for improving cyclist safety in smart urban environments — through data-driven risk modelling, sensor-based monitoring, behavioural analysis, and simulation.
